How do I Download an Image to My Mobile Phone?

What you need:

You need a mobile phone which can receive colour images, is registered to a UK mobile network and is configured for WAP access. You must have the permission of the person paying the mobile bill before you use this service.

You’ll get a reply, usually within a minute or so. The reply looks like an ordinary text message containing the picture name; it also contains a hidden link which your phone can use to download the image.

You may find the reply in the message inbox, but on some phones it will appear in the service inbox (eg Nokia), push inbox (eg Sony Ericsson, Panasonic) or alert inbox (eg Sharp). The phone will have a download, load or retrieve option: when you select it, the phone will briefly connect to our server and download the image. Make sure you save the image after downloading.

What it costs:

You are charged for sending the text message to us. The image will be charged to your mobile at 2 x £1.50, (£3.00 inc. VAT) and your normal WAP data charges will apply for the download.

The list below will help you save and use the pictures you download. Please don’t ask staff for help! Check your phone manual, and read the downloading instructions for different kinds of phone at www.picturematrix.co.uk. You can email us at info@art4charity.org.uk
