Brekan, Ralph Michael - "As time changes the world around us, our interpretation of subject matter
also evolves. Art is a glimpse of the past and a vision of the future.
Themes of popular culture, mass consumerism and politics fill our waken
world and in turn I churn out works that define the world around me. These
reoccurring elements of mass production, popularity, brand identity reside
throughout my work, both in the subject matter I choose and in the media I
employ to execute the vision. Evolution is key to survival. Art has
transcended generations not only by learning from the past, but by keen
foresight into the future. My work, rich in art history and popular styles,
has subscribed to the most common virtue of the past masters:
experimentation." - Ralph Michael Brekan
