Art 4 Charity is a service provided by Hermes Management Ltd using innovative methods of raising funds for charities and good causes through the sale of art and music. Our aim is to work with a group of organisations thereby reducing the administration costs often related to fund raising. We do not look to duplicate the efforts of the organisation or other fund raisers working with them.
Art 4 Charity is a simple idea developed by Tony Mooney an entrepreneur who wanted to help a friend raise money for their charity. Tony had realised the benefit of selling pictures to raise money some time ago but it was not until the summer of 2004 that Tony sat down and worked out the logistics.
Having offered to cover the cost of setting up a service including the web site Tony then discovered that it would cost the same to help one charity or many charities; a few phone calls to potential charities and good causes along with a few site visits, to explain the concept, later Art 4 Charity was established.
Art 4 Charity is open to all UK based charities and good causes even if the project is based overseas.
To minimise the administration costs and increase the impact of the money raised we will always try to work with organisations in a similar field, for example Horse World in Bristol and Only Foals & Horses in Oswaldtwistle; both organisations work for the welfare of horses.
Charity: any body of persons or trust established for charitable purposes only. Charities will have their charity number clearly shown.
Good cause: any body of persons not registered as a charity but looking to raise money to complete a project for the public good. This could be an individual or an incorporated business
Artists and photographers
Along with the featured organisations this site also includes Artists and Photographers who wish to use their work to generate funds for the charities and good causes. In all cases these individuals will donate either all or a substantial percentage of the money raised through the sale of their work. Some Artists and Photographers have agreed to donate the proceed of their work to a specific organisation and in some cases they are pleased to donate the proceeds to the whole group; in which case the money is distributed evenly to our supported organisations.
We are keen to attract more charities and good causes along with other artists and photographers to take part in our fund raising.

How can you help?
You will be able to see and buy images from all of our supported organisations either as a wallpaper for your mobile phone or your desktop PC, an A4 photograph ready for framing or an original or limited edition artwork. Making a donation through Art 4 Charity means you not only help the organisation of your choice but you get either a quality picture or a ringtone in return.
We also have available the most up to date ring tones for downloading onto your mobile phone. With only a few exceptions all money generated through the sale of ringtones is divided equally between our supported organisations. To view the available ringtones Click here
